Summary Amend various sections of KRS Chapter 118 to change the filing deadline for presidential candidates to 45 days before the presidential preference primary; change the presidential preference primary date to the first Tuesday in February; create a new section of KRS Chapter 118 to require the Secretary of State to make a recommendation to the State Board of Elections to change the date of the presidential preference primary under certain conditions; require the State Board of Elections to give notice to the Legislative Research Commission if the date of the presidential preference primary is to change; require the State Board of Elections to promulgate administrative regulations and establish procedures for election officials to follow.
